Julia Gunner

Julia Gunner is a graduate student who is getting her Master’s degree in Biomechanics. As a former Division I student athlete, her research interests are centered around sports performance and injury prevention, aiming to further enhance the ever-evolving field of exercise science. Outside of kinesiology, Julia is also a musician, and her influences are heavily rooted in rock and jazz. 

Born and raised in Southern California, Julia enjoys any sort of outdoor activity in her spare time. Some of her favorites include hiking, surfing, and going to the beach. She has three dogs, five cats, and three tortoises back home. As she enters her third year in the GOLD lab, she looks forward to challenging her own knowledge and seeing how the lab continues to grow and evolve.
