Gwendolyn Retzinger

Gwen is an adjunct professor and research assistant in the Department of Kinesiology at California State University, Northridge. She has taught a range of courses, including Biomechanics Labs, Principles of Motor Behavior, Fitness for Life, and various activity classes. Since 2021, she has been an active member of the GOLD Lab, initially starting as a volunteer. She quickly advanced to an intern role, later served as the lab manager, and then became a graduate research assistant. Through these roles, she has gained experience in project management, data collection, and mentoring students, and she now continues to support the lab’s ongoing studies on gait, motor learning, and virtual reality. Outside of academia, Gwen is a circus artist, gamer, and virtual reality enthusiast who especially enjoys juggling, hooping, and spending time with her two cats.
